On every visit to Ard Carraig, I have found such peace
and fun. The situation of Ard Carraig is perfect and views from front
of house typical of west Wicklow, the garden of Ireland.
The food provided is unique to Ray Barror and always surprises the palate.
I have had many meals there, and each one is better than the next.
One is never bored at Ard Carraig, because there are the friendly animals
up the fields, wonderful indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. It
goes without saying that walking in west Wicklow is superb in all seasons.
Of course, the heart of this truly Irish place is Ray Barror. Entertainment
comes so naturally to him. Whether it is in the kitchen where he cooks
with enthusiasm, or up on the hills leading a walk or de-stressing in
the pool.

We have visited Ard Carraig House on several
occasions and have always received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from
Ray. In the beautiful setting of West Wicklow Ray has created a haven
of peace and relaxation with a really friendly atmosphere.
His home offers every comfort including the beautiful pool and hot tub,
delicious food and we love that big open fire.
As hill walkers we find the location absolutely ideal for exploring
the wonderful wilderness of Co. Wicklow. We look forward to visiting
many more times in the future.
